Bobbed about in the Gower waves and made the most of a sunny saturday βοΈ
I'm standing down from ScoutsCymru Chief Volunteer role in September.
Here's my thank you letter to volunteers in Wales

I started with hope and ambition, and I leave with gratitude and pride.
Life's too short not to try your best and not have adventures.
The beach looked picture perfect this evening.
The sun setting with a high tide.
Not a jellyfish in sight!

I've been wild swimming a lot recently - from lagoons and quarries to the sea and seafront lakes.
It's buckets of fun, puts a big grin on my face, and always distracts me from whatever is fizzing around in my head - winner!

I joined Cowbridge Scout Group for trip to Burry Port RNLI this weekend. Over 80 of us hopped on the @gwr.com ScoutsCymru train with Gill Clay, who was celebrating her birthday π
Blue sky, sandy beach, I'm walking into the sea, you can see my footprints on the sand.
Into the water we go, well one of us did. The sausage dog bottled it π€

Went to find a moment of calm in the waterfall this weekend. I ended up feeling brave and went for a dip - the water was freezing!
Thelma couldn't work out what on earth I was doing and shouted at me from the pebble island π

It's been a Scout day of smiling, cheering and feeling very proud of our Welsh award recipients and King Scout Award holders at Windsor Castle.
Massive congratulations and BRAVO!
I was thinking about a sea dip.
Went to the beach for a look, maybe dip a toe in the water.
Saw the biggest jellyfish (pysgod wibbli wobbli in Welsh π€)
Had a nice walk, coffee and cake instead.
This year has certainly started with a beautiful bang of excitement for ScoutsCymru.
From being blown away at Swansea station to representing Scouts at Westminster Abbey.
We are looking ahead to a summer of celebration with our young people and volunteers ππ»

Pic of a sleeping sausage dog curled up next to me as I lie on a bench in the sunshine.
Today's been full of outdoor jobs in the sunshine of beautiful west Wales.
Now it's time to rest - Thelma is very happy to join me!

I've heard it's brilliant!
Today, Scouts and Guides around the world unite to celebrate the legacy of our founders, reflecting on our shared commitment to peace, friendship, and empowering young people with #SkillsForLife
ScoutsCymru had the honour at laying the wreath and renewing our promise Westminster Abbey.
It was a joy to see the pride on the #StDavidAwards finalists faces as their names were announced by @prifweinidog.gov.wales at Senedd reception this evening.
It was lovely to spend the evening celebrating amazing people in Wales.
Spent the weekend with my Scouting gang from Wales at the UK Scout Conference.
We're getting ready for our new strategy so spent the weekend reflecting, learning, hearing from brilliant experts and discussing the part that we can play to leave the world a better place.
Invigorated and exhausted!
Love the time being spent on wondering what could happen in the Traitors final π§
Thelma loves a ball.
She is super bouncy for a sausage dog and has the waggiest tail and floppy ears πΎ
Happy Sunday.
The proposed visitor levy in Wales will have a massive impact on the wellbeing of our future generation.
Scouts camping in volunteer run camp sites and Scout halls will face increased costs if introduced.
I shared some thoughts last night - forward to 44.10 mins

It's been a weekend of learning, sharing, planning and fun with ScoutsCymru and our team of operational volunteers, trustees and staff.
We came together to regroup, refocus and reenergise ready for the year ahead.
Well done team and thank you π
It's well worth a watch.
π€π»completely guilty of over programming my time.
Fun things quickly become things on a to-do list, with a sense of overwhelm that left me feeling exhausted.
Let 2025 be the year of quality free time and not a jam-packed diary.
I'm going to see it tomorrow!
The wonderful @rhodri.biz is once more encouraging us to share where we're sleeping tonight to raise money for Centrepoint Soho and remind us that not everyone has a bed.
Post of pic of your makeshift bed with #Duvetknowitschristmas and, if you can, pop some cash to Centrepoint

Yaasss! #DuvetKnowItsChristmas has made it here π
Not everyone gets excited for Christmas.
It can be a time of overwhelm, exhaustion and sadness too.
Let's make it a time of kindness to ourselves and those around us.
Yep, same here!
