Swallow-tailed Kite-My first decent pictures of this bird for this year. This one flew overhead while I was busy photographing the Sandhill Cranes I posted this morning.🪶

How so you get on this ride? This 3 day old Sandhill Crane was having a little difficulty finding its way up into moms feathers to settle in for the evening. It eventually found the right spot. (series of 6 pics) 🪶

Pileated Woodpecker Babies-I returned to the nest I recently spotted about 5 minutes from my house. This was my 3rd visit and I had heard babies but I finally got to see them. On the parents 3rdvisit to the nest they actually stayed outside and the babies poked their heads out. 🪶
