🧵 Over a week in October 2025, five specialist orgsanisations in England & Wales, Kairos Women Working Together, nia, Street Talk, Women at the Well and The Swan Project, took part in a ‘snapshot’ exercise, collecting the experiences of 91 women involved in the commercial sex trade.

Two-child benefit cap to be scrapped from next year The policy, introduced under the Tories, means parents can only claim universal credit for their first two children.

The two-child benefit cap will be scrapped in full from April 2026, described by the @womensbudgetgrp.bsky.social as ‘a landmark step towards tackling child poverty in the UK’ & which will ‘lift over half a million children out of poverty by the end of the decade’.
