When I become independently wealthy and start my own research institute, I'll write you a check.

Warning though: So far, being an outreach specialist hasn't been especially lucrative but you never know!

‘Absolute tank’ of a snapping turtle rescued from Lake Michigan surf after wandering shoreline for days Doug the Tank was being tumbled around by waves when an animal sanctuary volunteer found him.

Doug the Tank, a 33-lb, 30-something-year-old snapping turtle, was rescued after being found wandering the Lake Michigan shoreline and being battered by waves - an unusual sight since these guys typically inhabit the slower waters (like wetlands) of the #GreatLakes www.mlive.com/environment/...

Spring means warmer temperatures and the start of fish spawning. One of the earliest spawning fish in Wisconsin is the Northern Pike. Pike arrive right after ice out and use flooded areas. This gives their offspring a long first year growing season. #GreatLakes
