Jonathan Joss' death is a tragedy. John Redcorn was the only representation I had as a kid. I once even did a recording with him and he's now the 2nd Native man I’ve known that has died from gun violence this year. The other being my dad.

Natives are the most likely to be victims of violent crimes.

With Jonathan Joss's hate crime death, I'm having severe flashbacks to Nex Benedict here, and not in a good way. And Nex was Native too. Please start to put two-and-two together. Our queerness and Nativeness - and their struggle - are not separate. Your queerness must relate to ours.
