The Battle of Eriadu in #TrialsoftheJedi is a big moment, and has nods to existing material from canon while heavily integrating details from the storyline in THR Adventures. But, it also shows us an authoritarian ideology that came to its greatest prominence in the time of the Galactic Empire. 1/5

I really like that Avar was brought back into the novels but I’ve said since EoD that I didn’t love how Elzar-centric her story had gotten, especially since Elzar got to maintain an internality of his own.

I feel like Avar’s scene where she falls to the Nameless in Tempest Breaker is supposed to be an analogue Elzar’s moment seeing visions of Stellan and Orla, but I almost feel like she should have gotten that in the final novel as well
