Hollywood be Damned!
“April 3rd, 7:42 AM. Hey, it’s Milo here! You know, Milo Brook, the director? What am I saying, of course you’ve heard of me! Well, I’m hopping onto this live real quick just to let all of you know… we’re shooting a new documentary series! Yep, that's right! Milo Brook is back and better than ever, just you wait!” Milo yelled out with a smile while nudging his producer Rina’s shoulder.
She lowers her head, letting her stained pink hair dangle over her half-empty plate. “Milo… do we really have to do this now? I mean, it’s not even 8 o’clock for crying out loud! And get off that live, people don’t want to hear about a show that’s not even in production yet!”
Milo shoves his phone in her face and smirks while kissing the back of her head playfully, “Clearly, you don’t know my audience! Isn’t that right, everyone?!” He says while showing her the flood of hearts pouring in from the watchers. She swatted his phone away and grumbled before returning to her stale eggs.
While cramming his adoration in her face, Jackson, the makeup artist, burst into the room with a brush in hand. The door slammed against the wall behind him. “Milo! Get your ass in here, now! I won’t tell you a second time! And Milo-” he tilts his head and points his brush, “NDA.”
Milo’s eyes widen, “Oh shit, you’re right! Sorry, everyone, Milo’s out!” he said, frantically closing the app and locking his phone before jaunting over to Jackson with a big grin, “You're right, time for my glow up!”
Hey, it’s been a little while! Been busy working on my book and getting ready for a pride event tomorrow but I figured I would go ahead and share a snippet of my other WIP. This is the opening so far, hope you enjoy! 💙✨
