Being anti-Netanyahu is not anti-Semitic. It’s anti-corruption, anti-genocide. It’s pro-peace.

100% We live in truly depressing times, politically speaking.

I’d similarly hope not.

*Surely* there will be exemptions? And if so, does that mean such a “ban” isn’t working?

Can we finally agree that burning wood for energy is a terrible idea and won't be carbon neutral, let alone carbon negative, in our lifetimes? BECCS using wood certainly shouldn't qualify as CO₂ removal (CDR).

I did the Boston Marathon last year and I have to say that John Korir negative splitting the race, given the second half includes the Newton Hills, is one of the most impressive race performances I’ve *ever* seen 🤯 #RunSky

@peterbrannen.bsky.social I’m enjoying your CO2 book. Thanks for the tip!

Q: when you say oxygen is “pumped” into the air due to sequestration of carbon by sediment/rock burial, do you mean the ratio of O2 to CO2 increases, rather than the former actively being released by the buried material?

Coachella car campers are turning tents fancy - not all Brits are happy Campers are being judged for over-the-top tent set ups at this year's festival in California.

As a dyed-in-the-wool camper from more-or-less birth, I’ll say that camping spans a huge range of styles and experiences.

So, if people at #Coachella want to sleep in something that *isn’t* a shit-filled plastic bag, let them ⛺️

Endangered British dishes - and the home cooks reviving them Carrageen pudding and Staffordshire clangers might no longer be household staples, but some home chefs are bringing them back.

This article isn’t exactly a glowing advert for British cuisine…but all I have to say is this:

Derbyshire Oatcakes > Staffordshire Oatcakes 🥞

To be clear, papers in Sci Rep need not be any worse than those published elsewhere.

Fetishising or boosting about publishing in Nature is gross enough.

But softly framing the publishing of a *Correspondence* in Nature as being comparable to publishing a fully peer-reviewed article is very odd.

Sure, you have to pass muster with the Editor, but it’s really a different thing…

And the freedom to fail is a privilege that is unevenly distributed. Minorities of all kinds are afforded less of it.

I felt that sometimes the discourse took an overly binary view of success and failure. Often, theories that fall by the wayside can still be productive. /10
