Drone Delivery Soars Despite Safety, Surveillance Concerns - The Food Institute Drone delivery is expanding, but safety fears, crashes, and wartime associations are impacting consumer trust and adoption.

I've never been a believer in the mass drone delivery market, and have had this debate with friends a decent amount.

Are you Yay or Nay on the future of drone delivery?

Google’s AI Landing Page Patent: What It Means for Ecommerce and Brand Control — Greg Zakowicz Google’s latest patent suggests it may replace your website with AI-generated pages. Here’s what it means for ecommerce brands, SEO, and customer relationships.

ChatGPT users research products but won't buy there, forcing OpenAI to rethink its commerce strategy OpenAI wanted to turn ChatGPT into a shopping destination, but only about a dozen retailers signed up and users weren't buying. Now the company is handing off purchases to app partners like Instacart ...

Does this mean ChatGPT will look more like an affiliate site than a marketplace?

Is it a hurdle, inevitable, temporary until user behavior adapts, or something else?

2. Will we build the product discovery experience (complete with ads) to mostly mirror what currently exists?

3. Will on-site AI tools (like Rufus, Sparky) be more important in the ecom experience than the overall platform (ChatGPT)?

1. Will AI platforms simply be third-party marketplaces or affiliate sites that are so overwhelming that they actually discourage people from discovering new brands and instead focus on the ones they already know and are comfortable with?

Once every brand/product is discoverable through AI platforms, will it just be a hot mess of products to sift through ... kind of like what we have now?

Questions I ponder:

Kohl’s launches apparel brand geared toward teens and tweens The private label, dubbed Sea and Skye, includes basics, fleece and graphic T-shirts, as well as dressier styles.

Kohl's is trying to stay relevant. I don't hate this, to be honest, although I don't think it'll be widely successful.

Checking out at a Target store may be one of the worst retail experiences ever. It’s just plain miserable.

Walmart furthers gains with higher-income shoppers The retailer released a conservative outlook as lower-income households remain stretched, with CEO John Furner saying some spend “paycheck to paycheck."

If so, it feels like it could erode the experience. Will brands be able to set a rule that when someone begins searching for a discount code, they'll interject with a discount of their own?

So many questions to be answered.

Here, it looks like a win-back campaign was successful. Or was it coupon aggregator marketing? Or, could it be affiliate marketing? Either way, does the company care?

When people shop more frequently on AI platforms and build multiple product carts, will this tactic work its way into the process?

Is the average shopper using AI to save $$$?

Just ask AI to find you coupon codes.

For products that commonly use affiliates & "influencers" (like SaaS companies), you can ask it to find affiliate codes. In most cases, you'll find several codes that didn't show with the original request.

Americans' confidence in the U.S. economy falls sharply in January to lowest level since 2014 U.S. consumer confidence declined sharply in January, hitting the lowest level since 2014 as Americans grow increasingly concerned about their financial prospects.

Shocking! Who could've seen this coming?

Retailers need to prepare for a slow year.

Why Amazon is trying to out‑Walmart Walmart Will Amazon open its own Walmart-like big-box stores? It could help the online retailer begin filling prescriptions and sell its private-label goods

Amazon takes on Walmart with new store concept The approximately 225,000-square-foot store the retailer is planning near Chicago will sell groceries alongside general merchandise.

Super interested in this. I wrote about this back in 2017 (link in the comments). As a WF-first household, I can see my wife getting lost in there. When you capture her, you capture the dollar (WMT knew this 40+ years ago).

I've been saying this for years, and it was always a lazy narrative, IMO. This extends beyond fashion and sustainability. It also includes things like brand ethics and covers just about every product category.

Joe Brady can go now. That goal line sequence was atrocious!

3 months ago 0 0 0 0

I find it comical that the Bills find it acceptable to punt and give the ball to the Pats at midfield but going for it on 4th and potentially giving it to them at their own 44 is too much of a risk.

Joe Brady play-calling continues to be terrible.

Can we maybe stop with the second and long runs? Maybe dial up something to get a first instead of settling for 3rd and short??
