I went off birth control just to see how my body would function without it after having taken it for so long. I was ok for the first couple of months, but then it felt like I was going through an agonizingly painful 2nd puberty - lo and behold, it's actually PCOS. Bodies are weird, man xD
I just learned last week that I have #PCOS. I'm 35! I was on birth control for 19 yrs to manage what I thought was irregular cycles due to anxiety. Went off it 8 months ago and body started going haywire. Apparently, my body's normal function is dysfunction. Glad to have answers, but also, damn lol

Absolutely. You don't need to play on super mega overlord difficulty mode to be allowed to enjoy a game. I love Mass Effect, but I'm terrible at shooters. Normal difficulty is all I'll ever be able to manage.

Why does every "artist" who pops into your stream sound the same? Comes in, asks how you are, tells you your layout looks "simple," asks you for Discord, continues to pester even when you decline... it's not like I have "no soliciting" on my Twitch profile or anything lol

Same... like my brothers got common names, and I got one that, while pretty, is uncommon and sounds too elegant for my personality. I go by Christi for a reason. From that, you might logically expect my full first name to be Christina, Christianna, or Christine, right? It isn't lol
I cringe every time I hear my legal name because it doesn't suit my personality. Anyone else? Many friends and family members go by a shorter version of their legal name (like myself) or prefer a middle name. Some may not hate their first name, but just like a nickname or their middle name better.

Today the staff at my job brought soups. 2 people brought #vegan soups, one of which was the assistant principal. He said "I was gonna use chicken broth, but I found vegetable broth in my cabinet and used that instead so you could eat it" 🥹 It's the little things.
My new #streaming schedule:
Thursdays 6-9 p.m EST (same as before)
Saturdays 6-9 p.m EST (same as before)
Occasional Sundays, random times (probably afternoons)
I hate to do it, but I need to reduce my streaming to 2x a week rather than 3 (at least until I'm out for summer break). Tuesdays I'm usually stuck in work meetings, and by the time I get home, I'm exhausted. :/
Speaking about being your authentic self, I have a reputation at work for being quirky. Lol. But in a good way. I work in an arts school, so it makes sense. Love or hate me, those kids will remember their kid-at-heart librarian with purple hair, tattoos, and a bazillion cat plushies on her desk :)
The world has enough suffering in it, and I don't want to add any more. Am I perfect? No, but I try to be a good role model for the kids at work as best as I can.
