Excellent book, and I listened to it for my second go-through. Hearing you made parts of it more harrowing. The book is truly best of its kind.
I love this SO MUCH!
Congratulations! It gets easier, and better!
There is a great documentary about David Johansen streaming on Paramount+ that dives into his world and his life. It is an excellent way to remember the legend he was.
Martin Scorsese condirected as if you need more reasons to check this out. 📽️ #davidjohansen #filmsky

I’ve bought one of your ManyVids. You’re amazing!
Awe inducing. Hypnotic. Uncanny.
I am in awe of you.
I would love a print of this, and the last two posts.
Thank you so much for posting all of this art. Until you release an art book, this is the best way to appreciate this greatness!
Masterful.
How crazy! I just started watching this today! I saw the documentary about William Grefe, They Came from The Swamp!
Greatly deserved. I’ve had only the highest praise for the first volume, which I thought was exhaustive, until I put volume two physically next to it on the shelf. It will take me a while to exhaust all the films and special features within. What a treat for folk horror fans!

Although he had worked in Asian television since 1979, "Bloody" Billy Tang earned his nickname with the career-defining DR. LAMB (1992). Tang brought themes critical of the government, like overcrowding, corruption, and police brutality, into the over-the-top true crime bloodbath. bit.ly/4fN71ys
Thanks so very much!

30 years ago, I made LET'S GET DEAD (1993), a zero-budget SOV movie, a story about a happy-go-lucky teen named Tom Schrenk (Dan Truman), who makes his childhood dreams of fame and glory come true...by murdering someone. Horror is the punk rock of cinema! bit.ly/3MPuQts
NEW EPISODE! bit.ly/3MPuQts
Horror is the Punk Rock of Cinema, and S.O.V. (shot on video) movies prove it!
Following the DIY ethos, regional horror movies sprung up everywhere and created a subculture.
Just like punk rock did!
I discuss my favorite SOV movies, and my own SOV film from 1993!

Yes! Nobody to play off, not room temperatures to see what’s working, no body language to figure out pace. Film acting as opposed to stage acting, as an example.
Getting that first one done is the big challenge. It gets easier (especially when you realize very few people are listening to you experimenting with the first few episodes.)

Yesterday was the cover reveal for author/poet Stephanie M. Wytovich's new book, ON THE SUBJECT OF BLACKBERRIES!
I was lucky enough to read an advanced copy, and it was a harrowing and emotionally intense experience.
