Managed to Jerry-Rig my drawing tablet into working just enough so I could cough out... the most beautiful portrait I've ever done???

A few Leyendecker studies ✨

This is a digital painting I did to hone my skills in rendering different types of dynamic lighting. The subject is (as per usual) my dnd character, and the piece is inspired by the 'Porque Te Vas" trend that's been going around in animation communities. It shows two versions of the character lying in the grass, one, depicting the character as younger, with their eyes closed, and one, depicting him a bit older, looking up past the camera.

I've finally defeated the artists' most age-old and loathed archnemesis... dappled lighting.

This is a screenshot of an unfinished 'expression sheet', which I add sections/doodles to as a drawing warmup before continuing work on commissions. The expressions here show my D&D character at full and half health, they show him happy, bashful, fed-up, drunk, saying "eureka!" and saying "w.t.f.". There's also a doodle showing him and an alien as the wonder-twins, a doodle where he's holding a gun to his simulacrum's head, and a doodle of him dying in a gluetrap.

When I need to warmup before working on my commissions, I add a box or doodle onto this exercise sheet. I promise the commissions aren't of this character!
