I'm about halfway through book 15 now but I finished this one in March.
It was my first 5⭐ read of 2026.
Can't wait to pick up all of @sorayachemaly.bsky.social's books!
Many thanks, so glad you found it helpful!
Institutional betrayal harms in two distinct ways: material and psychological. If your government mistreats some people that causes material harm to those people. Because betrayal is so potent, institutional betrayal can ALSO cause psychological harm to both direct victims and other citizens.
Tysm, Julia 🙌🏽
To whoever did this at the #NoKings in Boston: Thank you.❤️
It made me tear up. And we must to be reminded of needless damage to humanity that results directly from the careless, bellicose bluster coming from the Pentagon and White House.
This is terrific! TY!

“If you had a law that said we’re going to pass an unequal amendment that makes it official that women do not have the same rights as other people, I think people would be pretty upset. This is the world we’re going to live in.” - Mary Ziegler

It’s possible to hold several ideas at once. Epstein was protected by a ruling class *and* that ruling class is male supremacist. “Elite complicity” degenders what’s happening and erases the central role of sexual violence in maintaining abusive power. open.substack.com/pub/sorayach...
People can say it’s utopian or dreamy but it’s a fact that you have to believe new things are possible, fundamentally, in order to make them real. You have to make the choice to believe that more than this is possible & not be resigned to this being the way things have to be because it’s not at all.

It's a perfect example of "institutional betrayal' @sorayachemaly.bsky.social as explains in her piece for us:
The President is lying to the public:
1) For the past century, the federal government has been responsible for the Potomac Interceptor – not Maryland. The sewage pipe is on federal land.
