No flowers here right now (just snow), but one of my favorites i’ve taken! #bloomscrolling

I finally watched it and OH MY GOD IT WAS SO GOOD! I can’t believe I waited until now to watch it! So original and creative and such a good movie!
I care too fast and too much about people who definitely don’t care about me or don’t understand just how much I worry about them when they get sick. It’s difficult navigating that fine line between checking in with them and giving them space, and it hurts when others get updates but not me.
Well said, @jimmykimmel.com. Well said. @jimmykimmellive.bsky.social
This is precisely the kind of government coercion that the First Amendment was designed to prevent — and media companies need to start standing up rather than capitulating to it.
After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.
We cannot dare to be silent or complacent in the face of this frontal assault on free speech.
We, the People, deserve better.
What we are witnessing is an outright abuse of power.
This administration is attacking critics and using fear as a weapon to silence anyone who would speak out. Media corporations — from television networks to newspapers — are capitulating to these threats.
I stopped reaching out to people first because I was constantly the one doing it. As of right now, the only texts i’ve gotten from not my family are from my boss (who is awesome & cares). But other than that, it’s an incredibly lonely existence, which is difficult combined with a jam-packed new job.
Mine is that imaginary space that clowns seem to fit into when they all get into a teeny clown car. Key word imaginary 🙃
I’d like to thank @angeliraferart.bsky.social for introducing me to KPop Demon Hunters during her drawing session at the ALYAC Fest (@bostoncomicarts.bsky.social) because I finally looked it up and I’ve been blasting Golden by Huntr/x all day 😅 Now I actually need to watch the movie!
Happy Birthday Senta! 🥳
I watched @colbertlateshow.bsky.social tonight and @kamalaharris.com absolutely rocked it. THAT is what a leader looks like. Take notes, Donald.
Ps. So totally missed hearing that laugh and seeing her smile. But also glad she got much deserved rest. #mamala
Looks like the farm my aunt used to live on. Granted, the house was very haunted, but it was a friendly ghost! 😂
While i’m doing shoutouts, check out @debbiedadey.bsky.social, the co-author of the Bailey School Kids series & author of the Mermaid Tales series & @angeliraferart.bsky.social , an artist who is adapting the BSK books into graphic novels! If you have kids, see below! This weekend in Ashland, MA!
And her daughter’s art is just as amazing!

Surprised one of my teacher friends tonight as her artwork was part of a gallery and her reaction was, “You did not drive all the way out from *insert town 45 minutes away here* just to see this!?!?”
Me: Yup ☺️
Her: No way!
Me: Yes way!
Her: 😲🥹💕
I am grieving the barbarism that is going to unfurl from all this. People are going to die. Livelihoods gone. All to feed a corrupt kleptocracy.
I see every day up close how different it is from the first time around. There are no guardrails. A disaster. I’m sorry we have to live through this.
Planning spontaneous weekend trips to the mountains to see your music teacher turned friend 👍🏼
Doing it at 2 am even though teacher you knows you will regret not sticking to your sleep schedule come late August 👎🏼
Thankfully it was peaceful and no one was arrested (that we know of) and i’m glad that I did it. #NoKings
Protested for the first time in person yesterday as I had already been scheduled to help run a booth at pride in a major city. Was scared to go because of what I had seen in LA with 🧊, but told myself I needed to do it for my middle school self who didn’t understand why no one stood up to Hitler.
Wayyyy ahead of you 😅 Finished teaching for the year on Friday and immediately went to the local ice cream stand.
This may sound gross, but add banana and/or chocolate chips/m&ms and/or marshmallows. That’s what we did in Girl Scouts and called it a “smaco” (s’mores taco)… slightly unhealthy but so delicious.
And that is why I love more than anything to read hard copies over digital- the nostalgia is comforting and healing in today’s world.
You can guess what i’m doing instead of grading, but after a week of not being able to call out despite having bronchitis, I needed it. #librariansarethebest 📚💗
Midnight thoughts: every horror story I read reminds me of the wonderful teen librarian I had as a mentor and friend, because she recommended so many of my favorites. We spent hours holed up in the library reading and watching horror movies in the days before social media and tech really took over.
I’ve discovered that the only thing that stops a coughing fit when I have bronchitis is submerging myself in my pool, which is currently 65°. I guess this proves I’m a mermaid? 🧜🏼♀️
The “books are better than baseball” quote needs to go on your site in a reviews section! 😄
The crisis of missing and Murdered Indigenous People is urgent and ongoing. Today is about more than remembrance. It's a call for justice. We are always working to get answers, action, and accountability. #MMIP
