A BES Endemic network advertisement for their upcoming reasonable adjustments webinar. It is on 4th November, from 6-7:30 pm BST
Next up in the @britishecologicalsociety.org Endemic webinar series, we'll focus on reasonable adjustments in the workplace and at university. Both in the field & in the office, being neurodivergent in ecology can be difficult – but there is help!
To really make sure we focus on the interests of the webinar attendees, if you have any questions to our panellists in advance, please submit them here by 20th October: bit.ly/4oh3GMk
Unsure what a reasonable adjustment is? Or who is eligible for one? Want to know how to request one for yourself or how to advocate for your students? Not sure what exactly would be helpful? Join us 4th November 6-7:30 pm UK time to find out more! Register here: bit.ly/3JbrCBU

#Behaviour2025 out of context: "we did a different study that I'm not going to tell you much about" "Bees are not little humans, and humans are not big bees" "it's never easy to catch an insect when you are moving at 40-50mph" "I started my career in ants and made the natural move across to whales"
S. Anvitha: Drought led to changes in Asian elephants' body condition and social behaviors, along with increased miscarriages. These changes suggest possible welfare effects, too, and point towards the usefulness of studying welfare impacts of drought.

Animal brains don’t think in a vacuum, they think in heatwaves & hypoxia, and around predators, parasites, and social groups. Our new review maps mechanisms, timescales, and gaps for understanding animal cognition in changing environments: authors.elsevier.com/a/1lau5Esvgs...
Triangle of links between the processes, highlighting their general interactions.
Animal energetics, movement, and coexistence are inextricably linked. What insights emerge when we consider these processes together? In our new paper, we present a conceptual framework that integrates these domains, outlines their connections, and highlights the value of their joint study.
