Got a paper rejected today and the biggest reason was that it wasn’t original work (deserving of the outlet) because…we had published the protocol. C’mon peer review.

NIH Biosketch requires linkage to orcid after May. Guess I have to do a better job on remembering that password lol

Anyone else having a glitch where their pubmed Biosketch lost all your personal citations? Trying not to panic…

The barriers to reporting sexual misconduct are many. People fear that they will be retaliated against, ridiculed, blamed, and accused of lying. Many who eventually muster the courage to disclose often do so after years of psychological torment. We need pathways to support survivor reporting.

I would just ask if they have samples that they think would work (based on what you know your prescription to be) before you do the appointment. Obviously they’d have to examine you to verify if it’s the right sample I suppose

Oh god don’t keep them in your eyes. I’d pay an optometrist locally to see me and get a contact sample (they usually have them) for a month long lens
