They are also juxtaposing "how can a person in love be so calm" with her heart-pounding, awakening reaction to him. He pushed all of her buttons, woke her up, so it seems they are leaning into this let's show another aspect of love or what love is to them versus real depth or insight at this point.

His feedback on her work showed another side of him, but the reaction was so brief it appears not to figure into his appeal. I wish at this point that the writers showed her thinking about it, realizing that he has a deeper side, an insightful 1 that means he is more than meets the eye & that's why.

It's pretty clear they are working the she-sees-him-with-his-hair-down-and-no-glasses-and-thinks-he-looks-like-a-lost-and-cute-puppy angle pretty hard. Also, that he's a homebody appeals to her.

Yes, I do think that meeting the "one" can make us feel more self-conscious and anxious. Because one is thinking not merely about the situation one is in, but also what will they think of me... It's not clear still why she suddenly is heart pounding with him though. Perhaps just biological...

Additionally, the walls' tonal variation seems to lead the eye astray and distract from viewing some of the art by distorting where a works' edges are. Such walls can melt into a piece, I find.
