Porgramor shared this clip of Avenue X talking about it, & she actually mentions the same point as you - we have seen so many pretty male & female fantasy generals, so it’s not as though Zhang Linghe’s portrayal is unique. It’s just it became popular enough to be attacked in this way #cdrama

See him often fighting or in the battle, so he stays mostly un-wounded and spotless... perhaps thats the only difference from other General characters in other recent #cdrama. For me #LiuYuning or #ChenZheyuan definitely hadn't less make-up rather in the contrary.

You are absolutely right. It must be really hard for him! I think he really had the bad luck of this huge popularity of the #cdrama and his figure (his epic entrance with the feathers may have contributed too...)

This suspense drama revolves around the Jiraanans, a wealthy Thai-Chinese family that operates its own hotels in Bangkok and Pattaya.
