I adored the performances and found Laszlo’s story to be incredibly powerful. The themes of generational trauma and the immigrant story through the lens of the creative was fascinating. Intermissions to my mind help audiences process and reflect before moving on to a film’s final acts.

The Brutalist: Quite possibly my favorite film of 2024 and certainly deserving of numerous awards this season. A monumental achievement in filmmaking.
