Thinking about the ways Vash & Nai would respond to being the "smaller twin" in childhood. Mainly just Nai. Vash wouldn't care if he was smaller, but Nai would be too overprotective of Vash. Smaller twin Nai would hate it & he'd work out a lot as a teenager and a young adult.

I want to force the point that Vash is very inactive/passive bc he fears hurting others. But Nai also made his bed when he continued to take away Vash's autonomy, so he's unfair when he expects Vash to just comply. But I want them to find that compromise & work together.
Last scenes, V&K are missing through most of it. We eventually see V meet with K at their home, with them are a small group of ind plant kids & depend plants, implying that V&K cooperated to bring independence to those that wanted it & reversed the process for those who didn't.
That's been Vash's problem throughout the series. He makes promises he can't deliver and is too scared to make impactful decisions. Even if Vash didn't consent to the plants becoming independents, he's the only one who can clean up this mess. Vash doesn't act.
Vash refuses, not wanting to force them into independence when Nai didn't even get their consent. He doesn't want to reverse the process either bc he doesn't trust Nai. But he promises to try to help. Nai gets mad at Vash, accusing him of always refusing to make a choice.
Let's build on "Nai can't talk with Plants". He brings Vash to see the pregnant plants from the end of Stampede. He tells Vash that the plants are stuck in an in-between state and aren't fully "alive". He needs Vash to continue the process bc otherwise they're stuck.
Even though being blue means he's "exotic" to the humans that hurt him, he likes that he's blue like plants. He's unintentionally saved by Nai, his god now. Nai saves plants and saved him. Vash, on the other hand, is red just like the sick, dying plants.
Blue is Nai. Blue is a healthy plant. Blue is also the color of Legato's hair. Legato who was probably sold from human to human & learned to distrust them. Only the plants, blue like him, never hurt him. He relates to them too, he can see how they're used & sucked dry humans too.
