Fabulous photograph of one of the Cromer Peregrine Project falcons captured by a fisherman at the end of Cromer pier.
It is assumed the crab was pirated from a gull. #ukwildlife

Don’t say nobody. I fully endorse taking away this lady’s cars specifically

#1: cerulean warbler - v basic choice but... i love them so much. they're very vulnerable. i was over the moon to find breeding pairs on the family property because it means our habitat is excellent. only the best fuck house for the bestest bird. CERW you are my best friend forever.

professional photo of breeding male magnificent frigatebird with inflated gular sac soaring in garden key, florida, by daniel irons
#4: magnificent frigatebird - as common as they are in range, def the bird i was most stoked to see going to mx. seabirds that can't get their feathers wet! they are aerial specialists that spend like 99% of their time on the wing, skimming surface for flying fish and/or stealing from other birds

professional photo of male xantu's hummingbird with fanned tail perched on branch in mulegé, baja california sur by grigory heaton
#7: xantu's hummingbird - first trip out of country since becoming bird pilled! we only get a handful of hummingbird species in the states, so i was so so so so stoked to see a mexico endemic. described on birdsoftheworld dot org as "having a gentle disposition" he's literally nice
worm-eating warbler perched on branch, tennessee, by graham gerdeman
#8: worm-eating warbler - i LOVE warbs... this one is famously hard to see, and i only got a quick real bullshit look at him, but we take those. also allows you to make rfk jokes

blurry binocular photo of red knot in newport, oregon tidal estuary
#10: red knot - bird club saw this guy passing through coastal oregon on his way to the northern arctic. they're v long distance migrants; #hisjourney can be up to 15,000 km. not very common to see here -- ebird says "they appear to almost completely bypass OR during migration"! we got super lucky
another year of looking at bird... inaturalist had me chasing plants and bugs so not as many new guys as previous years. but the ones i did see were really good. terrible bino photos included when available
please stop putting up the smokescreen of “war on rural america.” what you really mean is “war on my personal convenience as a driver”
congestion pricing? you mean what they have in manhattan?
how rural would you say manhattan is?
i fucking hate drivers dude
most americans (including, maybe even especially, all cops) believe (a) traffic laws are not "laws" so much as a game where you try to break the rules and every once in awhile get caught and pay a fine and that's the price of admission and (b) *they* can speed and it's ok, they're a good speeder
oh my god

I can’t believe there are people on this planet that genuinely like emerald fennell and think her movies are good. Like it’s just inconceivable
How did that go for her
