Well the preview of the article leaves me with more questions than answers. I guess I’ll be reading. ;)
Excellent will do! Thank you
Maybe Monday or Tuesday?
Absolutely. I would love your input. Emily and I want to chat about the SSD lab as well. I can’t do it today though. Would you be available sometime next week?
I am going to incorporate ultrasound training in the speech sound disorders class. Now to figure out how…in just a few weeks.

Haha. Thanks. It gets a bit harder every year. Definitely consider moving somewhere warmer sometime.
Great picture. I’m hoping for not too much ice this year. I can handle snow and I can handle cold. I hate driving on ice.
A small town in Montana.
Today we had ultrasound training (in person) with Sarah Dugan and learned how we can use ultrasound for speech sound disorders and had some great research thoughts. Now to find the time to do it!
Listening/watching the Apraxia Kids conference. Loved hearing @tricmc.bsky.social share her expertise in researching Apraxia.
I have to say some
Of the prejudices and scenes in Kristin Hannah’s “the four winds” hits differently these days. How long will it be before we’re back in a depression dust-bowl type era?
Marilyn Nippold and Erin Marr created a language arts program, named, 'Philosophy for Adolescents' + it's available entirely FREE from here: asha.figshare.com/articles/onl...

Sometimes having an office partner (I’m working from home for spring break) is a good thing.
Well this was a fun bit of news. My first first-author article just published. pubs.asha.org/doi/10.1044/...
Very exciting. Congratulations
Congratulations! That’s an exciting move. What will you be teaching?
Trying I remain even semi-positive is becoming increasingly difficult. I need to rediscover the joy in what I am doing.
Phonetic overlap? I guess that /r/ colors everything????
Hahaha. I’ve been chair for 4 years now and I feel exactly the same way. BTW, after two years, I think it’s official and probably should ditch the “interm” you’re in it for the long haul.
Conversation I had with coworkers the other day is still on my mind. If you are a PhD/EdD would you consider a non-tenure track job? Why or why not? What about an 11-month contract va 9 month with optional summer work?
What raised your suspicions?
Thank you. I will share it with her. We were surprised at the number of facilities that do not hire or have SLPs working with residents.
How did she recognize the bots? I hate to see surveys go away
Oh that sounds intriguing (and disheartening)
I have a thesis student presenting her research on the lack of SLPs in the juvenile correction facilities in the US tomorrow at #ASHA2024. She has worked hard! Title: Assessing Juvenile Correctional Facility Workers' Knowledge of Developmental Language Disorder for Improved Services in Youth
Thanks for your work building up the #bskySPEECHIES.
Uhm. I hadn’t considered what the word would be. Skeeting is a bit harsh sounding and sounds vaguely vulgar. LOL
