No picture taken but “smashed beef taco” (essentially a burger on a mini flour tortilla) was delicious! 💯 quite impressed! #chemistswhocook

Long Run and a Tea Party My aunt Joyce was interested in many things, including teas, antiques, and the décor in Cottage Living magazines. When she passed away last September, my sister and I, of course, couldn’t say ‘no’ …

12 mile long run without stopping! 😱 I was NOT moving well last night 🤣
Not a race I’m training for but helping a friend get through their long runs for a first marathon! 😀😀

A free watch is free 💯 👍
My theory is- I don’t need a second “phone” on my wrist so I’m content without an Apple Watch. The Garmin does sync with Strava. Does Apple not have a fitness recording of its own- it has to record runs through a separate app? #runchat

Nothing new on race day: that includes wearing the race shirt! It’s my pet peeve!

I will wear the same shirt and shorts again and again if it works!

I have found a running-rain jacket to be too warm (Michigan weather). Do you prefer a specific temperature range to use running rain gear? #runchat

I count that! #runchat

If we count a Garmin watch as apparel, then without a doubt- the watch. Even ignoring the health features & paces, the distance recorded is life-changing. I used to have to map out my route in advance on the computer (with dialup internet) OR map out after & be disappointed I fell short. #runchat

Runner Crate Part One I decided I should try one of those monthly “box” subscriptions for running gear. I’ve been getting Birch Box for a over a year now and I’m generally happy with trying the new samples. I mean, less…

Omg what a question: see this blog post I wrote when I tried Runner Crate. 🤣😱 #runchat

I hadn’t thought of that! I came across a scalp-sunscreen spray in a store once. 🤣
Never tried a visor though.

Running watch for sure! That is a purchase I went into knowing I would love it but it continues to exceed my expectations 10 years later 👏🏽

Probably a good running hat. I use my #ragnar hat from 2017 - I LOVE it. Use it all the time from running, to hiking, to golfing! Previously, I used non-athletic hats (too hot!). #runchat

One pair! Brooks Glycerins.
I usually only have one pair at a time. It’s not an unlimited bank account and I hadn’t seen a need for more. #runchat

10 mile run this weekend! Shocked I would pull it off so early in the calendar year, especially when I’m not actively training for a race. #runner #runchat

I’m shocked they wouldn’t review each book they’re acquiring to their circulation. Assuming funds for new books isn’t unlimited, I would think some time to review each incoming title would be warranted.

10 mile run this morning! It was tough but I’m glad we stuck to it, being an out and back- easily could have turned around early.

What are some great places to eat or get coffee in Arizona?! Nothing fancy! I know it’s a big state… I love trip planning but I don’t like finding places to eat. I would pick someplace randomly if I don’t have a recommendation in mind.

How long after sickness before you return to cardio exercise? I’m only feeling good because of the medicine yet I’m disappointed to miss tonight’s fitness class. #runchat #runner #run #garmin

Running for a Maurice Salad Last year I used the Runner’s World Day-by-Day Log up until June. That’s when I went to Hawaii for 15 days. We did lots of exercise there but no runs. I wasn’t going to back fill in the days and I …

January milage is low but I’m filling my weeks with yoga x2, strength exercises, weighted vest + incline treadmill walks, & lots of cardio from snow shoveling!!

After work I did 60 min hot Bikram yoga (103°F) and then ran 1-mile slow on the treadmill…. And then ate leftover pizza slices and a king size chocolate bar. 😅 #run #runner #yoga #runchat
