β€œI think in the fall and winter when I was laying out what I wanted to do, these things really lit a fire in me. But now that they are approaching – and extremely quickly – it’s probably crazy to try and do these!”

Saturday long run done. Not the best I’ve ran tbh, copd still causing problems and had to slow to a walk on more occasions than would have preferred. Got my first half in 3 weeks time, just hope I’m fit enough to give it a good attempt #running #halfmarathontraining #longrun #coros #runchat #runsky

Running and Aging: Finding Surprise Improvements AJW takes a moment to appreciate a good day out at the 2026 Crown King Scramble 50k.

"As older athletes, and older people for that matter, we often have to take what the day gives us. Some days are good and some days are bad, and then you have that rare day when you harness something special from the past, and it becomes a great day." β€” AJW
