sorry for the v late reply. the desktop app will cease playing, and often hangs on startup even with pc restart, it loses my login frequently too. casting to different speakers is also wildly inconsistent, not as big a problem on the phone

Man #spotify must have the worst app stability of any desktop app I've used in the last decade. I'd rather try and navigate steam solely using big picture mode and a joycon than try and do just about anything in spotify long term.
