We had such a good year for tomatoes last year, I’m preparing myself for it to be a poor year this year. Hopefully I’m wrong though lol

Been too busy working to bake for a few weeks but managed to sneak one in this week. Decent looking loaf except I forgot to add salt and boy is it bland tasting!

I wish I knew the answer. I did sell a couple of quilts last year when commenting on a post that @mooseallain.bsky.social did. He posted it on here and Threads. Have a feeling the Bluesky post had the most interactions…

A better rise on an oval loaf after baking two weeks in a row

Sprouting broccoli and leeks still providing us with fresh veg here. Plus all the homegrown stuff I’ve frozen or canned ofc

I work Sundays in Waitrose. It’s amazing the number of people still in the store at 4pm and some of them with big trolleys. They don’t like being asked to make their way to a till either…

Yeah we’ve got done sprout plants that need to come out, followed by the remaining leeks.
Rainy forecast ahead again though 😏

Dug up the last of the parsnips on the allotment this afternoon.
Time to clear some of the overwintered veg to make way for the new growing season

Quick trip down to the allotment this afternoon. Not a lot we can do on the plot at the moment as the ground is too wet, but it’s always good to see things are starting to grow

Finally managed to get to the allotment today after a week of hard frost, snow, ice and heavy rain. Plenty of veg scraps to add to the compost bins. Managed to harvest some more leeks 😃
