1987 - a famous face behind the counter of an East End pub - the Queen’s Head. Apparently the Queen Mum was offered a glass of Champagne but decided to pull and drink a pint of Bitter instead. She then bought 10 fags and disappeared into the betting shop next door! - (allegedly)
