You can't smell the lilacs blooming from your car.
There are a handful of bushes we walk past for school stop off. It's nice to watch spring arrive.

A 7yo child struggles to lock up her bike to a comb rack. The bike is parallel to the rack as if it were a fence. Another 4yo gazes at her over his shoulder, thinking, "who designed this crap?"
Comb is even worse!
I can't get between the wall and the end. :(
It would have to be wide enough to accommodate moon shaped handlebars. It just put in 4 staples.
A wave style bike rack perpendicular to a brick wall. A bicycle is parked perpendicular to the end of the rack farthest from the wall. The work cycles f8 bike with a front box and large panniers is wedged parallel to the rack, between the wall and the other bike
A wave-style bike rack doing a crap job as bike parking.
Funeral flowers for the death of an automobile.
An image taken outside of a tree with pink blossoms. The blossoms have fallen off and are covering the road, sidewalk, bush, and the car with a broken bumper that is next to that tree

Look how well these trucks on a narrow country road behave. The first truck revved their engine in annoyance but he was 3ft over so 🤷♂️
HumboldtTown Safe Streets tour with @nwnachicago.org @bikegridnow.org & Safer Grand yesterday. A great turnout & fun ride. #Chicago
The streetblogsux guy jumps at every opportunity to tell people that this is an "anti-bike lane group."
I don't think I could have resisted diving in. Maybe a well placed, "Totally. Those kids riding bikes to school deserve to be crushed."
Looking forward to your report!
Looking forward to checking out the bike safety event and Archer Avenue bike lane tours tomorrow 4/18 at Palace Hall Banquets. We will be riding over from Bridgeport Coffee at 9:30am if anyone wants to join us.
I was teaching my kid what head banging is and I think I gave myself whiplash.
I'm not terribly bothered by it. I think people deserve more space in general. I think we all owe each other some grace.
I will say, I don't understand people who want to exercise by running or road biking in areas congested with people strolling and leisurely walking.
There's nothing like an actual hot stove moment with a four-year-old.
Lord, I aged 5 years in 5 seconds.
They're
Don't ride a bike like you're a car driver.
Slow down/stop for pedestrians, even when they don't hear your bell because their wearing headphones, or are hearing impaired, or their drunk, or children.
Be a neighbor, not a jagoff
Sure but the cyclist can also stop/slow down to miss them. It's a bicycle, not a semi.
Sounds bad. I hope they don't spread this way. I haven't followed the issue too closely but did see they broke some bus shelters. I wonder if it's worth proactively racing out to my alder.
We don't really have them in Bridgeport that I've seen. I did see one in west town and was surprised at how big it was
Are they worse than delivery drivers?
