Just wanted to share that I will be leaving US end of May/early June. This was a tough decision to make. After considering all possibilities and some serious self-reflection about the LIFE that I want to build and have, I think this is the best decision FOR ME right now.

I have spent so many months and years just translating the primary texts for my dissertation.

Oh hey, just a thing I wanted to share with other teachers. Some of my students are using AI in a way I did not anticipate, and so I did not warn specifically against it. (Some of the warning I gave covered this in a general sense but I want to be more specific in future.) So: a lil thread.
i did not spend my whole undergrad listening to speeches about the importance of using scholarly sources to now accept ChatGPT as a legitimate source of information just because technocrats have lost their minds
