Last week, 22 young people travelled to Sheffield for our Art Is Key project, reflecting on their journeys with HIV, then and no, and what it’s like living with HIV. Through song writing and drama they brought their stories to life, ending in a final sharing.

Plenty of good news in our research plenary around successful antiretroviral therapy in children and young people and good results from Chiva's PREMs survey which shows that young people's experiences of attending clinic were overwhelmingly positive.

Dr Merle Henderson and Prof Rashida Abbas Ferrand's talk surmised that Clinicians & GPs need to assess for co-morbidities beyond HIV, including heart health & bone density.
There's hope that the next generation who began treatment younger may see improved long-term outcomes.

Wow what a night we had last night, opening the 20th Annual Chiva Conference.
We had exciting updates on HIV cure research and on the HIV Action Plan, powerful poetry, all followed by a meal and karaoke with the Chiva Youth Committee to celebrate 20 years of the #ChivaConference.
