Feeling my art history education rise to the surface like the Lady of the Lake with King Arthur's sword when I'm in the vicinity of a Medieval Times
Knowing no one could ever call me a grifter and have it be credible because I was making stop motion animations at 15 with pictures of sand on the ground and I'll probably still be doing it if I reach 80
It sucks that everywhere I live celebs want to be my friend... not helping the living a low key life goals :/
A cyanotype photogram made by Atkins which was part of her 1843 book, Photographs of British Algae: Cyanotype Impressions
English botanist & photographer Anna Atkins (b. #OTD in 1799) is often considered the first person to publish a book illustrated with photographic images.
Some sources say that she was the first woman to create a photograph.

These well-dressed rats will be going into our galleries from 28 March as we reimagine and update our very popular Rat Trail: a challenge for visitors to find rats hidden throughout our displays.
Each rat represents a different experience of rural childhood.

Beautiful
“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.”
Be kind.
People are often trying their best, even when it may not look or feel that way to us.
Some, most, are working far harder than we will ever know.

A British grandmother with a valid visa detained by ICE for 6 weeks.
"So why did ICE detain her, and keep her locked up for so long? ICE officers are paid a bonus every time they detain someone. 'Individual ICE agents get money per head that they detain – the guards told me that,' Karen says."
Black and white photograph of a spiral staircase, a vertical white rectangular shadow of light appearing on the wall and a horizontal white rectangular shadow of light appearing above the spiral

Good morning & welcome to #Caturday
We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone. 🧡
A small act of kindness can reach places only compassion can heal.
Never underestimate the power of simply being gentle, present, and kind, you might be the light someone needs today
Love it!
Happy belated birthday, Pokey! ❤️
A beautiful girl!
Yes there are more important things going on in the world. I'm also incredibly politically active offline in multiple countries x
Dunkin gave out "iced mittens" today. It's a left mitten you can wear to hold iced coffee

I did synchronized swimming for 10+ years and was so addicted to this song I tried to pitch a Shinedown themed show. Never happened but it really is so beautiful www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbsD...

I love women. And I hate a**holes
It's sad how many times you talk with women who have stopped something they loved and how many times it's often because of a creep in their industry. Things have to get better

The aurora last night in Beaver, Alaska was just incredible. This is a real-time video (not sped up) of the crazy motion I saw. Also, look how BRIGHT it is, wow!
Out of focus in the background are color printed photographs of Zehra and her friends on the side of her tent
After 7 months on a hunger strike for her right to asylum, my friend Zehra's deportation from France has been cancelled. Her hunger strike is now over
Have enjoyed experimenting with homemade cameras of all different sizes, from film canisters to the beloved Illy coffee tin (which was used for this image)
