Watched a couple of DBA 3.0 games which were fun. I really need to get those Byzantines finished.

Good result, but we're not here to win painting competitions but defeat the naked plastic syndrome, so all is well. π
A long time ago there was a game called Gorkamorka. Very reminiscent. π
Blucher project is now in the pipeline with some minis on order from Baccus 6mm.
Can't wait to get stuck in

Nice paint job
Painting some more Byzantines. For someone who doesn't like painting horses, probably not the best choice army in the world.
I know it's not the same and somewhat more fiddly, but there is Discord
Victory at Sea ships are rather good. I like the scale as I can see what the hell is going on.

It's so easy to just get a few more ππ€£
Yeah, the ignorance of being too young to appreciate.
I'll see how I go. My Irregular minis need a little sorting π
I think I'll have a look and see what its like. Need to get the war elephants and cataphracts up and running π
I'll try to keep that in mind π
Thanks. I will have a search! π
We never appreciate the history till long after. I recall visiting Rome when I was 18 and not really looking at anything. π
Normandy is on my list of places to visit too π
@markbackhouse29.bsky.social What's the design philosophy behind Strength and Honour? Curious. π€
I found many disregard 2mm as one step above a counter, but I don't agree. I do have some Sassanians and some Romans I need to get based. I'm a returning gamer from the 90's so have been out of the loop a while. But the appeal of a mass battle on a small footprint has its advantages. π
I've heard of those, but not played them. Are they like DBA?
Eventually I'll get 12 elements in some sort of order. I like cavalry but loathe painting them π
Sometimes you get weeks like that. I managed to put a bit of paint on some Byzantines today I've been trying to get up and running for ages.
Which rule set are you using?
Working on my 15mm Thematic Byzantines for DBA. They are taking forever, as I can't agree with myself as to a paint scheme. Blues and reds mostly.
Tiny Iron Age style round house made for chickens.
Its been a lovely spring day today, so we built the start of a small round house. For our chickens. To dust bathe. Like normal peopleβ¦
And to any American who goes βoh but you brought it upon yourself by free-riding on our defense spendingβ - the one time Art.5 got invoked was by the US and NATO and many others stepped up. So please GFY.

β‘οΈ UK, France, Ukraine to develop ceasefire plan to present to US.
Starmer is hosting President Volodymyr Zelensky and other leaders in London to discuss how to strengthen support for Ukraine and ensure a just and lasting peace.
All done, just waiting for GMB flags. Pleased with these. The red is probably a bit too bright, but it should pop on the table. Started on a Regiment of Chasseur a Cheval next.
"This peace must not mean a surrender of Ukraine. It must not mean a ceasefire without guarantees. This peace must allow for Ukrainian sovereignty and allow Ukraine to negotiate with other stakeholders," French President Emmanuel Macron said on Feb. 24.
