Those already struggling to access care will be affected the most. Cutting reimbursement risks making the situation worse, for both patients and therapists. 3/3

In many regions, it can take up to six months or more for patients with statutory insurance to get access to therapy.
Lower reimbursement risks pushing therapists to treat fewer publicly insured patients and focus more on private patients. This is exactly the wrong incentive. 2/3
Germany’s statutory health insurance funds (GKV) have decided to cut psychotherapy reimbursement by 4.5%. As a CBT PPiA close to finishing my training: This sends the wrong signal.
Demand for psychotherapy in Germany has increased markedly in recent years, especially since COVID-19. 1/3
In case you would like to connect, talk about research or have a chat, you can still reach me via this account. I will keep it semi-active, and there may be updates from time to time. 2/2
I will finalize my research associate work at ZPID by January 25. Thankful for the time I've spent there, and for everyone who supported me on my PHD journey.
Yet, I also look forward to focus on my Psychotherapist training in the future. 1/2

Additionally, there was a large section on the current availability of bachelor and master degree places at universities in Germany and the BaPsy, as well as some updates on the WissZeitVG.
There were interesting points, especially regarding Open science practices. Generally, the volume of open science publications is increasing. Also liked Stephan Schulz-Hardts' view that reviewers of research grants should not be overly critical on replication projects compared to "novel" research.
Still here and looking forward to hear some words on the current state of #psychology at #DGPS2024. #OpenScience #ZPID
Also: It is an interesting experience to watch all the interesting conference talks as a Doctor of Psychology now instead of as a PhD student. Still feels a bit surreal :)

Unfortunately couldn't make it to Vienna, but it's nice to still be able to attend #DGPS2024 digitally. Looking forward to talks on science communication, trustworthiness and open science practices. #ZPID #OpenScience #Psychology #ScienceCommunication
Almost done now...finally handed in my dissertation today😊 Grateful for all the support and the insights I gained @zpid.bsky.social into #scicomm, #PlainLanguageSummaries and #trust over the last 3 years. #PhD #Psychology #OpenScience
Excited for this afternoon's symposium on digital transformation at #gebf2024. Definitely a field worth considering when it comes to the transfer of science information to the public.

A short morning walk, sunshine and cold, but clear weather. Definitely a good start to the first day of the #gebf2024. Looking forward to the upcoming talks and sessions. #PhD #Psychology #OpenScience #SciComm #education
On my way to Potsdam for the #GEBF2024. Train delays will likely give me time to finetune my presentation on trust and research summaries that you can catch tomorrow afternoon during session 3-14. #PhD #Psychology #OpenScience #SciComm #education
Really excited about travelling to Potsdam soon for the #GEBF2024. Will present new research on how subjective scientificness perceptions mediate the relationship between author/text scientificness and trust on March 18 in session 3-14.
