A colorful sunrise over silhouetted mountains, with a gradient sky featuring shades of blue, purple, pink, and orange.
a gloved hand holding a cup of coffee with snow in the foreground and trees and mountains beyond.
A broken tent pole with cord wrapped around it holding it in place, relying on the tension from the rest of the pole to keep it in place
What a sunrise this morning! The clouds had such a soft layered texture to them.
That made up for my tent pole failing - fortunately the bandaid held overnight!

The Wetland Project has been my favorite alternate-reality radio experience since it began. Since it only happens once a year, you can’t become accustomed to it. Close your eyes and be washed over by the sonic reality of an isolated bog on Saturna Island!

Strange how office chairs have this veiled hostility no matter how expensive they are.

Cold, but hanging out with the dogs in the backyard taking in the scents and sounds.
I have a 600mm lense but it’s nowhere as sharp as my 400 - this was shot handheld with my 400 and cropped on my phone just now.

It stormed heavily overnight!
I really like this XDome tent. I still have my Scarp 1, and it’s a better tent for severe weather, but I’ve literally outgrown it with my training and some of the extra gear I take with me now.
I’ll probably look into the Arcdome in the near future for winter.

Thousands of Canadians have told Ottawa to act on nature. We need thousands more.
Canada's $2.3B nature fund expires this month. We're asking the government to renew it — and invest in ecosystems for the long term.
Be one of the thousands 👇
