What a sunrise this morning! The clouds had such a soft layered texture to them.

That made up for my tent pole failing - fortunately the bandaid held overnight!

The Wetland Project has been my favorite alternate-reality radio experience since it began. Since it only happens once a year, you can’t become accustomed to it. Close your eyes and be washed over by the sonic reality of an isolated bog on Saturna Island!

A snowy mountain landscape at night, featuring a sloping terrain covered in fresh snow. The sky is illuminated with a twilight hue, while distant mountains and valleys are partially obscured by clouds. The image captures the serene beauty of a winter night.

Cold, but hanging out with the dogs in the backyard taking in the scents and sounds.

I have a 600mm lense but it’s nowhere as sharp as my 400 - this was shot handheld with my 400 and cropped on my phone just now.

It stormed heavily overnight!

I really like this XDome tent. I still have my Scarp 1, and it’s a better tent for severe weather, but I’ve literally outgrown it with my training and some of the extra gear I take with me now.

I’ll probably look into the Arcdome in the near future for winter.

Date night with Shiba #1. The weather was looking “good” for the weekend and she seemed to be interested in camping so I brought her along. Not a lot of photography when she comes, but that’s ok - the trip is about her.

Thousands of Canadians have told Ottawa to act on nature. We need thousands more.

Canada's $2.3B nature fund expires this month. We're asking the government to renew it — and invest in ecosystems for the long term.

Be one of the thousands 👇
