In the hospital for an extra day having a very hard time, if anyone could please share my neurosurgery fundraiser even if you can’t donate so more people see it, appreciate you, thank you
Doctors found more issues, I will update when I know more www.gofundme.com/f/help-emily...
Deeply grateful for all of the support, thank you. just found out I’ll need more surgery - not quite ready to talk publicly about that yet
In going through my files, I found the folder with every source for The 37 Miracles of Block 37, and I forgot that I had been able to identify all the people who took their lives at the SLC Public Library and learn about their lives and what had happened.

Triage Health has a free navigation program: triagehealth.org/legal-and-fi.... I haven’t used it yet, but I work with cancer patients who have used their services for years and have had great things to say. Hope they can help you!
As a fellow Crohn’s patient who has needed expensive and life-saving emergency medical intervention , Matthew’s story really hits home for me.
They really need our help, and if you are able to donate even a few dollars, please do.
Boosts and reposts can help so much, and don’t cost a thing! 💜
Help Matthew Cover Emergency Surgery Costs
If, and only if, it would NOT at all be a financial hardship, and you find what I do valuable ⤵️

My postponed February neurosurgery trip is next week!
I’ve had worsening neurology and movement disorder symptoms (typically associated with strokes) due to IH/Chiari, local neurology now helping far-away experts
Please give if you can! Thank you www.gofundme.com/f/help-emily...
Yes! They were my go-to for so many things. Last time I tried to order? Most things I needed were either out of stock or not even listed anymore. I’m frustrated to lose another, fairly reliable place to order essentials.
I put Bed Island into a few more words. #NEISvoid
🧵 Rapid response teams exist to intervene before a patient's deterioration becomes a catastrophe. At many hospitals, you can activate one yourself. Most people don't know this. Most hospitals aren't going out of their way to tell you.

It's stuck again and time is tight on this one! Please keep sharing!
I am told w/supply chains I've got 1-2 weeks to get the rollator. It's the ONLY model light enough that my genetic aortic aneurysms wouldn't rupture+all terrain. Must raise ~$700! Also $60 for seizure meds.

Vestibular disorders affect people's balance as well as their visual perception of their world around them. Don't make animations, sliders, videos, or rapid movement start automatically, as autoplaying elements could trigger a bad reaction in people who have vestibular disorders.
Help Ommer Draven come to California!
They and their trans daughter have a home here with me waiting for them, but they need to stay alive while they pack and send their stuff over.
They live in a tent outside in the cold and it’s been so difficult 💛💫
Also, they will help me when they get here!
#MigraineChat is on indefinite break but I'm resurrecting an old question in honor of the Olympics/Paralympics:
In what event would you win gold if there were #migraine or chronic illness Olympics?
Thank you for looking!

I feel like a war torn soldier, at war with the whole world for the most basic human rights. But I'm a devastatingly fragile, severely chronically sick person. Why don’t I feel like I’m being taken care of by a kind and loving society that wants me to thrive again?

Miles, a white, bearded man in his early 30s poses for a selfie infront of City Hall in Los Angeles. He wears a n-95 mask, white shirt, and bolo tie. It’s a sunny, Southern California day.
Three supporters of the Long COVID Awareness Day motion stand outside city hall. They all wear high quality black masks and pose for a photo infront of colorful tile.
BREAKING: the city of Los Angeles just officially recognized Long COVID Awareness Day, and will light City Hall teal in observation of the day on March 15.
I was at the City Hall meeting and just spoke with the advocates that made it happen. Story to come in @thesicktimes.org!
My book is out today and I got to write an essay reflecting on disability in romance for LitHub! Check out the article below🥹
Oh goodness, yes! I’m staring to have to mute during the sections where I know they are using the drones.

Graphic with a purple background featuring the title “MnNEAT RAPID ICE-RELATED COMMUNITY RESOURCES.” Below the title are three close-up photos of communication cards on keyrings, including ones labeled “READ ME” and “I am invoking my right to remain silent.” Text beneath the images explains that MnNEAT created tools to help nonspeakers or those who lose speech under stress communicate their rights if stopped by ICE. The MnNEAT logo and a link, https://bit.ly/mnneat , appear at the bottom.
A grid of 12 visual communication cards designed for adults during protests or high-stress situations. Each card uses bold symbols and phrases such as “I DO NOT CONSENT to a search,” “I need a TRANSLATOR,” “I am invoking my right to speak to a LAWYER,” and “Are you ICE?” Cards are color-coded with icons for quick reference. A caption at the bottom explains these are protest-focused tools, including one card with profanity for realistic self-expression.
A full-page visual communication board with multiple illustrated icons and phrases for nonspeakers. Includes messages like “Am I free to go?”, “I need HELP,” “I need to use the Bathroom,” “DO NOT TOUCH ME,” and “I do not feel safe.” Text at the top says “I CAN NOT SPEAK VERBALLY” and encourages pointing to needed messages. The footer explains this board bridges the gap between communication access and real-time needs but is not a replacement for individualized tools.
A layout of several foldable “READ ME” cards designed to be carried in a wallet. Each card includes personal info and tailored statements like “I AM AUTISTIC,” “I AM DEAF,” “I AM DISABLED,” or “MENTAL HEALTH CONDITION,” with instructions for how to communicate effectively and warnings such as “DO NOT TOUCH ME – I MAY BE IN DISTRESS.” A section allows for emergency contact and medication information. Text at the bottom notes these low-stimulation tools are useful when larger materials aren’t accessible.
MnNEAT created these communication tools to help nonspeakers—and people who may lose speech under stress—assert their rights if stopped by ICE.
