The Salween River in Myanmar is vital to many communities, rich bio-diversity, agriculture & much more but with uncontrolled extraction of gold & rare earths it is becoming poisoned. Moreover the flow of the river itself is threatened by hydropower development.
All this in the midst of a conflict.

The true wonder of biology is diversity. Some only see black and white, but light holds arrays of colours that can never be perfectly categorised. Just because you can't see doesn't mean it's not real. I found it really sad to see something so beautiful used to justify bigotry.

The kind of people i found so frustrating are the ones who only know simplified biology and are so confident that it is the entire absolute truth, so eager to spew hatred on anything they don't understand.

The boundaries between species are fuzzy and have always been debated, even the line between what is alive and what isn't is not as clear cut as people thought. Biological sexes are nuanced and complicated, just like everything else in the natural world.
