Lots of new ham toys this week! First, a B-Tech UV Pro. It has KISS/TNC along with bluetooth all which connects to app on phone. App listens, you point arrow antenna and boom! Picture! I got so excited i stopped pointing and screwed up my first image. #hamradio #amateurradio #sstv #satellite
I tried tonight and 40° elevation wasn't enough, this morning was 80+. At same time, my club friends were able to get 2 images from it (big antennas), it's very consistent with SSTV images. They were also advising I can get a 3d printed/DIY rotor controller for my antenna 😅

I mounted my Arrow Antenna to a tripod and use the ISS Detector app to tell me what time the satellite passes, elevation, and aim and follow as it passes.

A big week for me in ham. I got a hermes lite and amp through my club and did my first power poles on every device to connect it to a power strip. I ran an end fed gutter antenna and they helped get my software up and tour the bands, voice and FT8. My little station is looking good! #ham #hamradio
I've been really lucky to find a club (after 2nd try) that has been so very helpful. They hooked me up with a codeplug (file you load and comes with all channels etc preloaded for this area). Once I saw how it was set up there, I just edit or add as a needed.
