I decided not to do whatever I had planned, and instead made some particle effects. Whenever in doubt make particle effects ๐

Well, I cook mine at home ๐
Hey, this looks soo cool!
Any chance you could leave early? Like, tomorrow? ๐
This is unofficially called... Godot Cinema ๐

Wonder what they'd do if the Canadian government ever decides to introduce similar laws. At this point, these laws feel like a global conspiracy regardless of the government's political leaning.
Just finished Cairn. Reminds me of what indie games used to be. A moving experience that catches you off guard with unexpected deep moments. Combined with a unique well-executed gameplay. IDK about game awards, but it's definitely my personal GOTY.
I love how gamedev is just smoke and mirrors ๐
Good isometric scenes are dangerous. Every time I see one my brain just goes 'why aren't you working on yours right now?'
That's clever! Is the single point driven by in-engine physics or a custom setup?
Noise Textures
24 looping noise textures, free for commercial use in your games and other projects. All images are 512 x 512 PNGs.
Oh, I absolutely will, thanks!
Mighty Krita, keep us from big tech and deliver us from subscription evil.
One of the features Iโve been missing most in Godot. Definitely trying this out soon.

Projectors in Godot is my new hobby ๐

CC0 license so the nonsense is now everyoneโs problem. Golden.
Thanks, it's just a cool little feature hiding in plain sight.
Hah, busted! Iโm not the guy actually, but this Unity version was living in my bookmarks and when I saw a similar feature is in the works for Godot too, I had to share it.
Thanks!
The team probably wanted those extra controls on floating windows too, but you're absolutely right. I'd love to see the numbers if the engine had telemetry ๐
Yesterday I was tinkering with a PR implementing directional light projector textures in Godot. It suddenly turned into something familiar looking ๐ฆ

By throwing a giant farmland party!
A close-up of a Scythe board game in progress, showing a tense standoff between red mechs and blue spider-mechs on the map.
Itโs not like we are arming up against each other or anything, this is just some friendly border negotiations about strategic resource allocation on the eastern farmlands.
Everything is fine.

I'm not sure which data structures offer data locality in C#, but in C++, data structures are a hot topic in general ๐ It seems like no one trusts the default implementations for game and engine development and prefers to build their own.
Well, it's basically stack allocation with a twist ๐
It provides data locality by allocating contiguous memory for its elements and enables cache-friendly read operations.
Probably slower on common list operations but if you have a finite number of pre-determined data, voila! Free performance!
