In fact the only time I remember getting 'post launch updates' was THQ letting you post WWF No Mercy back to them because it had a game saved wiping but so they'd send you a new cartridge!

Back in my day you didn't know if a game was good because there were no gaming review sites.

Best you could do was sneak a look at a review in a mag in a shop!

There were no updates or GaaS you just bought a turd or a banger and dealt with it.
