Watching birds splash in the water is very high up on my list of favorite activities, hehe. I can relate! I have always loved and paid attention to wildlife, though it has certainly deepened the older I’ve gotten. I think it’s the ‘little things that matter’ kinda thing. And craving peace/joy.

“Yes, make sure to get my good side…yes, thank you! Oh, another weird creature with an image contraption, sup? You guys are kinda weird lookin’, but many things in the ocean are, don’t feel bad! Okay then, I’ll be off, welcome to the neighborhood! -floats off-“
At least they (mostly!) all look different, lol!! All so sweet, love your pride and their names too! Spicy Bruce Wayne lolol amazing 🤩
I LOVE when it just looks like they collapsed wherever they suddenly ran out of steam, hehehe! 🤣😍

I saw that picture and went ‘that’s what the morning after a GREAT night out looks like,’ haha! The level of sprawling and face planting going on hehehe 🤭😍

Have had a great time cultivating these. Lots of time dedicated to the effort, but most of the process I enjoy at least! So excited to see the fruits of my labor over the next few months. 🥰 🌱 🥒 🍅 🌻
Star Trek told me that we would live in a world of peace.
That we would figure out that killing one another was wrong.
That we would boldly go where no man has gone before!
I watched it surreptitiously with the sound off because it came on after my bedtime.
I believed.
That's the future I want
I think most people would prefer this. #Science
I feel this in my soul lol. My 3 also get quite perturbed. 🤣😅
NASA astronaut Christina Koch sits in an U.S. Navy MH-60S Seahawk attached to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 23 on the flight deck of the San Antonio Class amphibious transport dock USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26) after returning from space on Apr. 10, 2026.
This picture of Astronaut Christina Koch after the Artemis landing is frankly incredible and beautiful.
And yet they want more babies…?
But the health of those mothers and babies…doesn’t matter?? 🧐🧐🧐
I’m so glad my uterus is pretty much quit working these days. Maybe long covid causing hormonal shifts isn’t so bad if it sterilizes me (which my doctor of course won’t do).
So pretty! This was my encounter. My Sandhill Cranes left me a feather, and I found some chicory next to it, so how could I resist! Learning native flora/fauna has been one of my passions for a few years now. 🥰😍
This is a well-documented pattern in medical research and reflects systemic gender bias in pain assessment and treatment.👇
Bright red northern cardinal with its crest on its head standing straight up perches in a bed of stones.
Look at that crest! 😂❤️😭

Your mind can spin stories that feel heavy and endless
But many of those fears lose power with time and perspective
Be gentle with yourself today - what feels overwhelming now might not hold the same weight tomorrow 🌿

A chunk of blue-grey fluff that is actually a very soft kitten sitting on a library desk. They are doing a very serious Kitten Face and have very intent yellow-gold eyes, and they would be so scary and fierce if they were more than six inches tall and not so hugely adorable when they tried to be judgey.
The news all sucks today.
Here's a kitten in a library!
Today's Headline And then one day, while I read aloud to my husband the news and felt the widening hole in my heart, he raised his hand to quiet me. I followed his gaze out the window to see in the yard a small fluffy thing with black and white eyespots on its head. A northern pygmy owl beside our door, stout body slightly smaller than my fist. It turned its neck a full half circle to look at me with bright yellow eyes. In an instant, I shifted from disgust with the world to awe. Awe for this fierce bespeckled miracle, this wonder of feather and beak and claw, this small being in the grass looking back at me as if to say, Here is also the news. How surprising the world can be. How quickly, when I let it, amazement overwrites my fear and makes of the hole in my heart a home. -Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer
Update : it went fine, and my brain feels only a LITTLE cooked. My surgery shoulder (3 years post op) hurt more than anything. 🧐🧐🧐
I’ve had multiple MRI’s in the past. Most recently my lower lumbar/spine. I could feel the heat of the process in the spot being imaged. Currently about to go in for one of my cervical spine (neck) and boy am I trying hard not to feel like I’m about to get my head microwaved in a tube 😭🫠😬
Fresh off the Easel! The first blooms of spring cling delicately to a Japanese cherry tree in this painting inspired by a recent trip to Kyoto, Japan. The sakura blossoms symbolize hope and renewal of life. As the first harbinger of spring, I see these tiny blossoms as the first points of joyful light after a long, overcast winter. I have a formerly feral boy kitty who is a drooly happy needy mess towards me, occasionally accepts some pats from the hubby, but besides that will disappear the second the front door opens and he hears a voice that isn’t ours. Then as soon as they’re gone BOOM needy boy. They definitely spy hehe.
I have seen this with another similar sort of caterpillar, when I was a kid. Always gives me the heebie jeebies. Those poor caterpillars. Most of the time I believe it’s fatal for them in the end. Seems a cruel way to go! Ah, nature! 😅😬
They’re really great at this aren’t they?? Hehe 🥰
I get asked alllll the time if mine are any of those breeds. Before I was as broke as I am now I actually got DNA testing done on a few of mine to see what’s in their genes! Cool to see at least. But of course agreed, they’re mostly fluffy melting pots, hehe. ☺️

To be fair - I did dance as a youngster, and though I AM clumsy - often times I could manage to be quite graceful when I focused on the specific movements. (But then the injuries began and I gained weight 😒😤). So it’s a fair suggestion I think, but only if someone loves dance enough for it!
image from inside Artemis II text: i need more men to understand that two men crying and hugging in space after one of them announced they were naming a moon crater after the other one's late wife is actually what peak masculinity looks like.
Serenading the cat while hanging laundry up.
“Hey, this is for my sanity, cat - not YOUR enjoyment! Don’t look at me like that.” 😅🤭
Tough crowd.
