An action-horror story, first and foremost. My first three works have a lot of comedy, though, so I'm giving the characters (and even the Wendigo itself) a dark humor streak. I can't write things too seriously... I write for escapism, even if there will be a high body count.

Thanks! I've been studying wendigo myths since I was a teen, so I'm hoping to be respectful. I'm also typically writing novella or short stories, so this is new for me.

"The Skeleton in the Family" series by Leigh Perry is a great palate cleanser. I just spent the last two months reading all six books; about an adjunct English professor and an ambulatory Skeleton solving murder mysteries. They're really funny, with tons of bone puns.
