Two new laws are called CARE Court and SB 43. SB 43 relates to CARE Court because it is a mental health law which changes the definition of “Gravely Disabled.”

DRC has a library of resources available on our website covering over 20 categories and translated into several languages.

What is CARE Court? This DRC resource explains new mental health laws in California. Learn about the CARE Court process, how the court and your county's behavioral health department is involved, and possible outcomes of the program.
