We hope this paper contributes to ongoing conversations about how harm reduction services can best prevent and respond to overdose as well as help connect individuals to broader health, social, drug treatment and housing services.
The paper reflects on the facility’s important strengths, as well as some of the practical and contextual challenges that shape access and experience in medicalised service settings.
Delighted to share the final paper from my PhD which explores how Athens’ Drug Consumption Facility operates and is experienced by people in the local community.
