A four-panel comic strip titled “SHARKS!” by Christian Talbot, illustrated by Sophie Hodge (@thelifeofsharks). In panel one, a shark excitedly recounts a story: “…and then he shot the air tank and it exploded!” In panel two, a second shark reacts with “No!” and the first replies “Yeah!” — both clearly discussing the plot of Jaws. In panel three, the second shark gasps, “Oh my God! I was off Amity Island 2 weeks ago… that could have been me!” In panel four, the first shark replies flatly, “Way to make it all about you, Lorraine.” The joke plays on sharks treating the events of Jaws as real-life gossip, with Lorraine being that friend who always makes everything about themselves.
