We added a Breathing Feedback option in Cairn’s Quality of Life update. You can now see Aava’s efforts intensity.

We’re hoping this feature can help climbers with hearing disabilities, let us know if it does and how we can improve.

US tech firms successfully lobbied EU to keep datacentre emissions secret Legally questionable confidentiality clause adopted almost word for word from demands of Microsoft and trade groups

I dunno about y'all but I'm fairly sure we were sold out. Everybody involved needs to be held accountable for this, and the data centers need to be held not just to the same, but to higher environmental standards.

remember the guy who wrote about making his own AI employees and he fell in love with one with a female avatar? I think giving people (men, boys) access to a subservient 'woman' who is at their beck and call fries brains

through a window a pair of eyes can be seen.
Voice 1: Honey, Please turn on the light. I think there's someone outside our window. I can see eyes.
Voice 2: I'm gonna show that pervert.

The light clicks on. Outside the window is a giant homunculus made of hundreds of eyes.
Voice 1: Oh! It's only Eyelor The Gazer. Hey Gazer.
Voice 2: Oh dang, yo Gazer, what's up dude?
The Gazer: Oh you know me. Just peepin'.
Voice 2: Hell yeah.

i did an active stand test, just my HR -

lying down for 10 minutes - 82
standing up - 140, lightheaded
a few minutes after standing up to o 10 minutes of standing - 115 - 120

(I'm on ADHD meds so I re-tried on a day without - numbers were lower but a similar jump)

Thank you! It was happening so reliably too in the week before the monitor. But finger crossed it picked up something.

Secondary dysautonomias
There are conditions that can cause or contribute to dysautonomia. Some examples include (but aren’t limited to):

Amyloidosis.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often known as “Lou Gehrig’s disease.”
Autoimmune autonomic ganglionopathy (AAG).
Autonomic dysreflexia.
Botulism.
Brain tumors (including cancer).
Chiari malformation.
Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).
COVID-19 infection (especially ”long COVID,” when you have symptoms for much longer than expected).
Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (and other connective tissue disorders).

my heart rate goes crazy when I stand up, plus other things - i feel like I have some kind of dysautonomia going on.

wondering if it's long covid related or just my brain thing again

CW sexual assault. And pay attention, Quebec game studios:

Quebec’s workplace health and safety tribunal has judged that a game worker who was sexually assaulted after a team-building event sustained a workplace injury and is entitled to compensation.

Whoa 🤯

The Moon, in full eclipse, with the #Artemis II Orion spacecraft. Part of the Moon and spacecraft are lit by Earthshine, and both Saturn and Mars are visible to the lower right. Incredible. Details: images.nasa.gov/details/art0...

Feeling very excited by this one. He's going to be huge. A statement piece. Working name is 'Biblically Accurate Ring'

We cannot allow him to wipe out a civilization. And I also worry that if he opts for devastating air strikes that don't involve nuclear weapons, it will somehow be reported as "cooler heads prevailing". No, that's unacceptable. It's all unacceptable and he has to be removed from having these powers.
