Sasake - Another lone dove, but he also works for Aegon on and off when it's something interesting.
Bridgid (End of series antag) - She is the one who uses others a lot. To the rest of T.H. she's anonymous and she doesn't want the public to find out who she is.
Posts by Desdemona Rose
Rade - has trust issues, he only relies on others if he has no choice.
Secret Antag - They would love to have a bunch of subordinates to do their dirty deeds, but they don't have the best social skills
Daniyyel - other people are far too risky, he has only asked two people to help him. 2/3
19. How hands on is your antagonist?
Aegon - very hands on, he likes getting his hands dirty, so to speak. His biggest goal in life isn't immoral on its own. But he has no problems cutting a lot of corners to get there. In his heart, he's an inventor who wants too make amazing things.
1/3
He manipulates with friendship, not fear. He makes people feel special, like they're all incredibly important. He only uses fear if he thinks you're about to fuck up his life. Though, depending on how threatened he feels, he might skip fear all together and someone might *cough* disappear.
I typoed my #AntagonistApril post for today π€¦
So hashing this one, see the rest of this thread for others.
20 - do the other villains like the main villain.
Aegon as the main villain... they like him when they think he's on their side. One of my favorite things with Aegon 1/2
Day 21: Does the villain's power rely on others?
Aegon's power is his ability to manipulate. He wouldn't be able to accomplish his goals solo. He doesn't need them for physical safety. He's a man with big ideas that require resources and energy from others.
Daniyyel - Warm features, wears a trim beard, a friendly scholarly looking type
Sasake - on the taller end of average, very lanky, but doesn't stand out in a crowd, which is exactly what he wants.
The Solpar parasite (ha) - very tiny and microscopic π
I need to figure out what the last novel antag will look like, I just have a middle-aged woman as a descriptor so far.
Other notable antags
Rade - curly sandy-blonde hair, very unusual in this population
The secret antag - very fine features and high cheekbones, dyes their hair odd colors

I have fallen behind, I'll answer some questions as replies here instead of spamming the hash.
Aegon more or less looks like Daniel Day Lewis.
I have just now realized I have a lot of blonde antagonists, which I need to fix. There isn't a huge population of white people. 1/3
I read that wrong the first time (and deleted my repost). I wouldn't. I couldn't leave my novel series project alone for a year.
I will be giving away 5 physical copies of my Southern Gothic horror WHERE WILLOWS WEEP. Like, follow, and repost to enter. Tag a friend or comment your favorite queer authors/artists for extra entries! Entries will be counted until 11:59 pm EDT 4/28/2026.
*the giveaway is U.S. only.
I need to update it, it's now 5.5 novels π
The .5 being a optional novella. Assuming it doesn't turn into a novel by the time I get to it.
I don't have the time for this yet but Drawquarium's demo is out, someone pls test this on my behalf lol
Well, off to Steam I go. I am going to have to set up my drawing tablet later.
There is something satisfying with sitting down with a paper book. I audiobook most of the time out of necessity, I can multi-task. If I'm sitting down for story related things, I'm usually beta reading or writing.
Stuffed crust is, for me anyway, just an excuse to eat more melted cheese. π
I should come up with a Talithan version of pizza. One downside of living there, no dairy based cheese π (I love cheese).
Also, I want pizza now.

News spreads that the Finnish post office will release a set of stamps featuring art by Tom Of Finland.
Stamps represent the nation that issued them, making this a huge statement for how Finland see their Tom.
There's more of Tom's work in Hotties in Art!
My Protags make some sacrifices, they're a little more even handed though. For one thing they have people they don't want to hurt, my antags tend to give their goals a little more weight, even if they feel a little bad about hurting people.
#AntagonistApril
It's a mixed bag, and it depends on the sacrifice.
Sacrifices for a goal or idea, my antagonists win that contest. There is kind of a running theme (that I didn't even notice until now) of giving up everything for a questionable goal.

Pacing and I am going to tweak the ending. It's a survival thriller of sorts (two people in the middle of nowhere and one is bit by a insect they're allergic to), but it's real purpose is to hopefully gain interest for two of the characters in the series. One is the series MC.
There will be some who support her. She worked for Health Services and she wants progress in medical technology. There are others who will not. She'll try to force the public to assess the system they've trusted for so long, especially the Vocation of Preservation.
#AntagonistApril
Aegon, yes, after inventing the cruise runners (hydrofoil sailing ships). This will only last while everyone thinks he's truly changed his ways.
Bridgid - She will make a very public show questioning why Preservation is allowed to slow progress in the name of ecology. 1/2

Love being back in Ohio.
If anyone wants to buy books so that I can deal with this, I would not complain.

I'm back to editing my short story A Blight in the Maze. I am busy with house stuff, but I'll be happy if I'm halfway through by the end of the week.
Testing out titles ("the new second novel in my series," is a little long)
All of the novels in the Talitha Harbor series follow a two word pattern
"Fragile Loyalty"
Alternatively
"Intricate Loyalty"
Could also switch loyalty to Integrity.
Thoughts?
