This is a momentous loss. Steve was a great guy, and a really exceptional ally to the autistic community.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of @Steve Silberman (author of #NeuroTribes). I had the honor of benefiting from his kindness when he promoted my book. Our conversations about autism were a great comfort to me. My thoughts are with his family. RIP Steve.

Bravo ! C’est la base : la liberté de conscience, la philosophie des lumières, la laïcité, la distinction ESSENTIELLE entre critiquer une idée (croyance, politique, etc.) et stigmatiser des personnes (croyant, militant, etc.). Ce qui fait le plus peur aux obscurantistes et fanatiques en tout genre.

Pourquoi certains refusent-ils le principe de liberté de conscience ? Ont-ils peur que leur culte soit si absurde et horrible, que la tentation de liberté et d’épanouissement personnel fasse fuir leur fidèle ?

Et qui sait ? Peut-être que dans 50 ans, on reconnaîtra encore d’autres choses à cet art... je dis ça, je dis rien 😉.

J’ai transmis le sondage sur @qwice.bsky.social. Une critique disait qu’il n’y avait pas tous les candidats à la présidentielle et proposée de faire des votes à thème : candidats présidentiels ; présidents de la République ; députés de l’Assemblée nationale et sénat ; ministres et ex-ministres.

As far as "neurodiversity" is concerned, I think no less of Judy Singer 👍.

And in France, we use the term ASDs, which implies that we distinguish "disorders" (of the autistic spectrum) from "autism" (which is not a disorder, but a neurodiversity). It's like making a linguistic distinction between sleep and sleep disorders 😉.

C’est un sondage d’opinion, donc ça vaut ce que ça vaut 😉. Mais, je suis assez curieux. Si on veut juger le bien-fondé des avis, il suffit d’étudier en profondeur un programme spécifique. Mais, même sans ça, je trouve ça intéressant. Ça donne un cadre au débat public.
