I’m actually doing the weaving in this week. It’s crazy the number of ends. The blanket was knit in strips and are joined together, so lots of ends everywhere despite my attempts at good joins. With a blanket I’m doing a lot of back and forth end weaving to make sure they don’t pull out. Sigh…

July to January. Started with a pile of yarn, ended with a blanket full of interlocking cats for Zara’s dorm. Six months of stitches, one very tangible piece of love to keep her warm at college..

Oh it absolutely is! You should see the discussions I’ve had over the past 6 months with regard to how I’ve been mistreated at work due to race and gender. I’ve been brought to tears multiple times as I have felt so heard.

I’d like to agree BUT after Jan 20, the capitulation and anti-science has truly taken hold. And RFK Jr did say that black boys need, what was it, reparenting in rural areas on farms engaging in, what was it, gardening? 😑 Congress approved that man, so everything is chamboulé, as the French say.

I think you are underestimating what they plan to do. They won’t look at retrospective data. They will withhold MMR from the “control” arm and make it one of their so-desired placebo control studies, leaving these children at risk of death. I’m also sure he’ll target black kids for such a study.

Especially when the people who tell you this haven’t left their state in their entire lives, have no passport, and couldn’t find where you visited on a map if their lives depended on it. SMDH.
