The smell is beautiful too!

Disappointing news from Sutton Park ๐
Stonechat pairs dropped from 6 to just 1 in 5 years largely due to increased dog disturbance.
These birds nest on the ground & are easily disturbed.
๐พ Please keep dogs on leads
๐ถ Stick to paths

The shine of an electric car can hide a brutal story: cleared forests, polluted rivers, and families pushed from their homes in Congoโs mining regions. Demand responsibility from automakers. โ๏ธ #RainforestRescue #ActForRainforest

I was watching the Buzzards - that nest a stones throw away over the canal - from my apartment in Birmingham as they mated last week.
I got the the telescope out to get a closer look, but then felt like a pervert ๐

Hey Gert. Nice to see you giving Walton a bash. Hopefully an Ouzel will make an appearance at some point ๐ค
I just think it would useful - mostly for county recorders - to know who is seeing what and where.
Maybe they do if they need to follow things up, as in granted access to the account. But who knows???
It will always make me smile when I see 'anonymous and others'.
An anonymous person and other anonymous people saw stuff...yeaah!

Short-eared Owl at the very top of Chat Valley.
Adult Black Redstart in Chat Valley. Very active feeding. Always moving on around the hill.
The second Black Redstart found in North Valley at the top of the tree line.
Ring Ouzel (bottom right). Again in Chat Valley towards the top.
Wow!! North Hill #MalvernHills this morning. SEO dropped in briefly before being mobbed & departed W. Trying to relocate the Owl I later returned to Chat Valley to find a Black Redstart & a Wheatear followed by a Ring Ouzel. Then I found another Black Redstart in North Valley. Amazing. #WorcsBirds
Wow, superb Dan!

Excitement out the back of the apartment. 2 Badgers just 'badgered' past the window!
We see the odd one here and there, but not well. These 2 hung around for a couple of minutes by the bushes. Lovely stuff ๐ฆก๐ฆก

This sort of thing doesn't get enough traction. He can't die soon enough. POS
Furthermore, countries around the world need to grow a backbone and call it out properly ffs
What a world we live in.....2026 and humans have reverted. And I don't say this lightly, it's cowardice!

Literally just listened to that and thought I'd missed the part where he said it was a cover. Bit odd
Photo of a Common Nighthawk, a North American species, used in an article on the BBC website about the European Nightjar, a completely different species. Just grab any old photo of something vaguely similar off the Internet - no-one will notice...
I don't think any of these are going to be churring in the South Downs National Park, BBC. Unless local birders have been keeping something very quiet! #ukbirding
