Öffentlich Laden ist absolut kein Problem. Auch Schnelladen an der Autobahn, bzw. am Autohof. Ja, ist teurer als zu Hause, aber lässt sich bei geschickter Wahl der LadekarteN!!! auch recht preiswert realisieren... Einzig das heilige römische Reich deutscher Ladekarten nervt.

Without writing a small python script, not that I am aware of.

Maybe this is of help: in the bam file, cellranger adds a barcode attribute so for each read you can get the cell ID.

Die darin angezeigten Echtzeitdaten sind zwar auch nur so gut wie eingepflegt, aber aus meiner Erfahrung schon aktueller als DB Navigator...

PS: niemals den Angaben am Bahnsteig glauben. Die funktionieren maximal abgelöst vom Rest...

And all of that, because coverage is so unreliable that you are not even distracted by Emails!

Das beobachte ich auch. Häufig wird (von Studierenden) weniger Zeit in das Studium gesteckt weil man arbeiten gehen muss. Das ist natürlich insbesondere in teuren Unistädten (München *hust*) sehr ausgeprägt...

10X Genomics just made the source for CellRanger available (but not open source); github.com/10XGenomics/...! While I strongly advocate for using truly open tools for sc preprocessing e.g. github.com/COMBINE-lab/..., this is still a huge win for computational transparency in single cell analysis! 🖥️🧬
